Before she learned to walk, Sue would crawl to the edge of any swimming pool she could find and plunge in, happily swimming underwater until she ran out of breath, fully expecting some adult to scoop her up.
From that time on, Sue has been happiest when she is moving! As a beanpole six-year-old, she used to love joining her father while he was doing his ‘Army calisthenics’ to “work off her flab” (her words).
She enjoyed the swim team (after learning how to take a breath), was ‘recruited’ for one of the first girl’s track teams (Will’s Spikettes) in California, and was a star rider on one of the top vaulting teams (gymnastics on horseback) in the country. Her happiest childhood memories include jogging in the misty rain with her dad and hiking with family and friends.
Sue ardently believes that fitness should be FUN, and her lifelong love for fitness is contagious. She is passionate about helping older adults stay fit and active at any age!
